The culprit is the electromagnetic radiation (EMR) given off in energy waves that all living beings produce all the time. This energy is produced by every muscle contraction that our bodies make including our own heartbeat. As movement increases (including our heartbeat) the detectable energy spikes in all directions at 186,000 miles per second. This energy is greatly intensified with an elevated heartbeat such as when we are closing in on a trophy animal! The Phenomenon has two parts:
In order to understand the effects of the Electromagnetic radiation that is being emitted by your body 24-7 we need to know something about the Electromagnetic spectrum (EM). Probably the most important thing to know is that EMR is one of the basic elements of the universe, and only a very small portion of the EM spectrum is actually visible (visible light). What we do not see as easily is the vast array of EMR that is being produced by many types of forces both natural and man-made.
As you can see from the chart, the visible light spectrum is only a very small part of the total EM spectrum, you can also see that people fall into the infrared section of the spectrum. Through scientific testing it has now been proven that this energy which is emitted by the hunter is the cause of the “6th sense” dilemma.
EXTERNAL MOVEMENT ALSO SPIKES EMR!!
The fact that we all put out EMR and that human energy can be detected by animals is only half the story! This energy is also intensified by the movement of living objects as well! The millions of neurons that are firing in order to make even the slightest movement possible, coupled with the energy created by the atmosphere itself as an object moves through it also create giant spikes in the EMR that is being radiated from the hunter. These energy spikes are created by the compression of the EMR waves and travel in all directions at the speed of light. In a way the same as the ripples in a still pond after you toss a stone into it. This compression is called the Transverse Doppler Effect and is what gives the spike its raw power.
Have you ever wondered why the eye is drawn to movement, and it is easier to pick out movement from a living object than it is an inanimate one?
The reason is the energy which first draws the eye to movement is the EMR spike of energy from that movement!
The EMR receptors all animals and people have in the front of their heads (called eyes) first detect this spike of energy and from the infrared EM spectrum, and queue the eye to look for visible light to see the source of the movement.
